Get Soaked by Seven Mouths?!
If you enjoy getting off the beaten track and into the rugged countryside, you will love National Park Shete Boka (Seven Bays). This national park is located at the bottom of Curacao's highest peak, Christoffel Mountain. It covers an area of 10km of rocky, wave-exposed coastline.
It is this little piece of Curacao where the cliffs are at their most prettiest, because of the strength of the ocean. Shete Boka is a national park since 1994 and consist of some 10 inlets. Most of the inlets are protected turtle breeding areas.
The inlet that is not to be missed is Boka Pistol. At this inlet or boka you can experience the force and strength of nature and get soaked while doing it. At this inlet huge waves burst into the sky with gunfire like explosions! Amazingly beautiful to see!
Other well-known inlets at the Shete Boka Park are Boka Tabla and Boka Wandomi. At Boka Tabla there is an underground cavern. You can go into this cavern and watch the huge waves thunder into this underground cavern, while at Boka Wandomi you can stand on top of the natural bridge.
