Get hot in Curaçao
At the end of the day Curaçao is a Caribbean Island, so soaking up our sun at the beach cannot be missing on this lists. Curaçao has over 30 beaches and each beach has its own personality. Almost all the beaches are scattered along the sheltered and calm southwestern coast, where the waters are calm and as blue as Blue Curaçao Liqueur. The northern coast, with its powerful surf and strong undertow, is not suitable for swimming, but for the die-hard (wind)surfing fanatics.
The beaches range from hotel sands to secluded coves, from beaches with all the amenities to beaches with just sand. There are both public and private beaches, ranging from intimate rocky coves to long strands bustling with (watersport) activity.
Each of Curaçao’s beaches offers something special. You will enjoy exploring our coastline trying to decide which is your favorite. Make sure to pack a (disposable) barbeque and some supplies to prepare a nice lunch or dinner at one of the beaches. In our book beach BBQs are the best! Just make sure that it is allowed, because some beaches have restrictions.
Even though it is not common, nor acceptable practice at all beaches, you may see European visitors sunbathing topless. Please note that this is not permitted by law, but is tolerated at a few of the beaches.
As a result Curaçao does not have a nude beach, however hit us up and we can give you information on where to go if you want to dive into the crystal clear water bare-naked.
